Lancaster, Pa. - University of Pikeville archery competed at the 2025 Lancaster Archery Classic and the Easton Youth and Collegiate tournaments this weekend.
In the Lancaster Classic, Dana Wright stole the show with a win in the women's bowhunter. It was the first year that they had Wright's class at the Classic, making Wright the first-ever champion in her class.
Elsewhere in the Lancaster Classic, Nate Harper took seventh place and Caden Jones took 32nd in the men's open. Olivia Hale came in tenth place in the women's Olympic recurve and Alyssa Tenney rounded out the Classic with an 11th place finish in the women's open.
In the second tournament, the Easton Youth and Collegiate Tournament, the Bears brought home some medals. The women's side earned a pair of silver medals after Kennadi Mayer took second in the barebow and Olivia Hale came in second in the recurve. Rounding out the medals for the Bears was Alyssa Tenney, who took bronze in the women's college open.
Elsewhere in the Youth and Collegiate Open, the Bears had plenty of top ten finishes. UPIKE had a pair of fourth place finishes from Jack DiNapoli in the men's Olympic recurve and Tate Jobe in the men's bowhunter. Caden Jones came in eighth place in the men's open and John Shelby Stephens also came in eighth place in the men's barebow.
In the women's bowhunter, Dana Wright came in fifth place, Cassie Haldeman took ninth, and Natalie Holton came in tenth place. Emma Terry also took tenth in the women's barebow.
Archery will be back in action on Friday of this week in Owensboro, Ky., for the USA Archery Indoor Nationals.
