OAKLAND CITY, Ind. - UPIKE women's tennis extended their win streak after defeating Oakland City 4-1 Sunday. 

Belen Cavallero and Gabriel Guacanes fell to Maria Trembach and Isabela Todorovic in the opening doubles match. Yazmin Barrios and Azul Barrios knotted the doubles score at 1-1 after a 6-1 victory over Juliana Puente and Cristina Hurtado. With the doubles team point on the line, Lilia Jerry and Natalia Salinas secured the doubles team point with a 6-2 win over Maja Schmitt and Melissa de Jong. 

Maria Trembach knotted the team score at 1-1 after a 6-3, 6-4 win over Lilia Jerry. Natalia Salinas took back the lead for the Bears with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 win over Isabela Todorovic. Genesis Medina widened UPIKE's lead with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Juliana Puente and Azul Barrios put the match away with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Maja Scmitt. Belen Cavallero and Yazmin Barrios also won their matchups after the match had been sealed. 

UPIKE will be back in action Saturday afternoon in Pulaski, Tennessee., for a 2:00 p.m. against the UT-Southern Firehawks.
