Hagley named All-American at Indoor Nationals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - University of Pikeville track and field sophomore Zeke Hagley and junior David Exum competed in the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Nationals this week. Exum competed in the weight throw event while Hagley competed in the weight throw and the shot put.  

Hagley earned All-American honors after his performance in the weight throw. The Ona, W. Va., native recorded a 18.36m toss, making finals and finishing seventh in a field of 22 of the NAIA's top throwers. Hagley also came in 16th in the shot put after throwing 15.65m.  

Exum recorded a 17.10m toss in the weight throw and came in 17th place in the event. Exum and Hagley's marks at nationals were the highest of any AAC athletes in their events. Hagley's podium placement in the weight throw also earned UPIKE some team points which landed them 59th at nationals.  

The performance at Nationals marks the end of the indoor track and field season. The track and field Bears will be competing in outdoor meets now, starting with the University of the Cumberlands Early Spring Meet on Friday, March 14th.
