BEREA, Ky. - University of Pikeville men's and women's track and field competed at the Landon Bond Classic 2025 hosted by Berea College Saturday.  

On the men's side, the Bears took four of the top nine spots in the hammer throw. David Exum finished first with a 52.59m throw, Zeke Hagley finished second after throwing a personal-best 52.40m, Aaron Coffey took third and set a new personal best with a throw of 50.37m, and Alex Rogers finished ninth with a 43.50m toss.  

On top of taking second in the hammer throw, Hagley took first in the shot put after recording a mark of 15.91m. Zach Mason finished second in the high jump with a 1.78m leap and Gunter Young took fourth in the pole vault with a 3.05m, a new personal best. Jon Luke Fields recorded new personal bests in the 100m dash (11.06) and 200m dash (22.71).  

Heaven Carver scored eight team points after running a 12.95 and finishing second in the women's 100m dash. Carlie Osbrone ran a personal-best 27.15 in the 200m dash. Jaida Garrett also set a new personal best in the 200m after running a 28.27.  

In the women's shot put, Valerie Kendrick finished first with a mark of 11.76m. Gabby Cook and Kylie Hall set new personal bests in the event with marks of 10.30m and 9.54m, respectively.  

The track and field Bears will be back in action again next Friday and Saturday in Danville, Ky., for the Centre Invitational hosted by Centre College.
