Her week opened on Wednesday night when she scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds, five of them offensive, against Tennessee Wesleyan. She also had two assists and two steals and was 5 for 5 from the free throw line.

On Saturday, she followed it up with even bigger numbers, scoring a career-high 27 points while pulling in a career-best 10 rebounds in a 73-57 win over Columbia (S.C.) College.

She was 8 for 13 from the floor and 10 of 13 from the line to go with two assists and a blocked shot.

For the week, she was 13 for 33 from the floor and 15 of 18 at the line.

Adkins is averaging 9.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season.

The Bears, 11-11 overall and 10-4 in the league, are off to start a busy week as they play six times in 13 days to wrap up the season.

It starts with a three-game week, all of them on the road, beginning Monday at Columbia International (S.C.) University. That is a makeup game that was postponed due to recent winter storms and will be played at 3 p.m.

UPike will head to Bluefield (Va.) University on Wednesday at 5:30 before visiting Reinhardt (Ga.) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
