ACWORTH, Ga. – The No. 13 University of Pikeville women's golf team wrapped up play in the 2026 AAC women's golf championship this week with a fourth-place finish.

Three members of the team were named all-conference.

While the Bears were fourth, they were three strokes from second place in the 54 hole, 5,931-yard tournament, held at Govornors Towne Club.

SCAD-Atlanta won the event, shooting a score of 51-over par. Truett McConnell (Ga.) was second at 73-over, followed by Milligan (Tenn.) at 74-over. The Bears followed at 76-over.

Individually, senior
Renee Crooks led the Bears with a fourth-place finish. She finished at 12-over par to qualify for the all-conference team.

Graduate student
Lauren Holmes was named all-conference after shooting even par in the third round to move up six spots to finish sixth in the 55-player event. She finished the tournament at 17-over par.

Senior
Carly Crooks followed, finishing in 12
th place at 22-over par for the three days to also make the all-conference team. Junior
Tayla Howroyd came in 15
th, shooting 25-over par.

Freshman
Tayla Howroyd played the first two days, shooting 26-over par. On Wednesday, freshman Tiffani Tran was 16-over par.

The Bears now await word on the NAIA women's golf championship, which will be played at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Mich., May 19-22.
