The University of Pikeville broke a 1-1 tie with two second-half goals and knocked off Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University 3-1 in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.
 
UPike took a 1-0 lead to intermission before the Lions tied it early in the second half.
 
UPike is now 5-3 on the season and has won four straight, while Freed fell to 2-8 on the season.
 
The Bears scored the first half's only goal in the 41^st minute. It came off the foot of junior Sara Ritter, her league-leading ninth of the season. Freshman Iselle Reding provided the assist, her second.
 
The Lions tied it in the 51^st minute, when senior Cash Harris scored her second goal of the season.
 
The tie lasted 14 minutes before senior Ryby D'Arcy scored her first goal of the season for what would be the game-winner.
 
In the 81^st minute, senior Jayla Boyd scored off a pass from Anna Dudas. It was Boyd's fifth goal of the year and gave Dudas three assists on the season.
 
The Bears had seven shots on goal, with Ritter and Boyd each having two. Senior Kylie Ritter and sophomore Jacquelin Reding joined D'Arcy with one.
 
UPike will take its win streak on the road on Wednesday when it visits Union Commonwealth University. The contest in Barbourville will begin at 5 p.m.
