Pikeville, KY – UPIKE esports wrapped up the 2021 MSC Fall Overwatch tournament last week, finishing runner-up in the single elimination bracket. Shawnee State was victorious in the championship match, sweeping the Bears 3-0 to win the title. The Bears are also entering the homestretch in the Hearthstone Open Tournament, defeating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the final game of the regular season.
The Bears went 4-2 in Overwatch play, defeating St. Thomas, Campbellsville, Cumberland, and St. Thomas.
Hearthstone has found success this season, managing the best finish in program history. UPIKE faced off with eight opponents from across the country, compiling a record of 5-3. In the TESPA standings, the Bears sit at 42
nd out of 165 schools.

Jeremy Stacy, "it's disappointing that we weren't able to qualify for playoffs but I'm looking forward to the next tournament and seeing our team improve moving forward."
The Bears are eager to begin a possible Hearthstone winter series, that would start in December. UPIKE Overwatch will resume play in the spring of 2022.
