Bowling Green, Ky. - Earlier this morning, the Mid-South Conference announced the MSC Academic All-Conference honors for volleyball. The honorees for the Champions of Character Team were also announced today. 

Student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term of fourth quarter to be nominated. Student-athletes nominated to the Champions of Character Team are chosen by their coaches based on their leadership on campus, their community and their demonstration of the five core values the NAIA embraces. 

The 2022 Academic All-Conference honorees for UPIKE volleyball are Hannah Dempsey, Erin Ende, Daniela Hernandez, Leigh Johnson, Cheyenne Martinez, Genesis Santiago Melendez, Oksana Vucetic, Kiara Warrens and Mikela Cook. Cook was also named to the MSC Champions of Character Team. 

Nine Bears were recognized for their hard work in the classroom. This was the third nomination for Cook, Dempsey, and Ende and the second nomination for Vucetic and Warrens . Hernandez, Johnson, Martinez and Santiago Melendez were nominated for the first time.
