Bowling Green, KY – UPIKE Cheer finished fourth in the MSC Championships Saturday afternoon, earning three all-conference honors. Assistant Coach
Nissona Hounshell was named MSC Assistant Coach of the Year following her first official season on staff.
Hounshell, who has been committed to the program since 2016, claims the programs first ever Assistant Coach of the Year honor. The Scott County native also cheered for UPIKE for three seasons and was apart of two MSC Championships.
Three Bears were named Second-Team All-MSC in
Madison Campbell,
Emily Burke, and
Emma Caldwell. Campbell, who has been an integral part of the team since the 2019-20 season earns her third consecutive All-MSC honor. Burke has also been with the Bears since 2019 and earns her second career seasonal award. Caldwell earns her first ever All-MSC distinction as a freshman.
Georgetown claimed the conference title with a score of 92.09 while Cumberlands earned runner-up with a 90.76. The Bears scored a 89.46 to finish fourth behind Life University.
