KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Officials of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released their 2024-25 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honorees. Winter sports include men's basketball, women's basketball, competitive cheer, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, men's wrestling, men's bowling, and women's bowling. UPIKE had 47 Scholar-Athletes across the eight winter sports.
To earn the honor of NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and must have attended their institution for at least one full year.
Women's bowling led the winter sports with 12 honorees, the most in the NAIA for women's bowling. UPIKE women's bowling honorees were Alissa Miles, Brianna Rogers, Emily Lindsey, Erica Warne, Haley Grabowski, Hana Hackworth, Kadie Dicken, Madison Stanton, Mikayla Blair, Rayce Yelton, Vanessa Fuzie, and Victoria Hines.
Men's bowling had eleven honorees. They are Andrew Allen, Aramis Linville, Bryce Baltzer, Bryce Oliver, Chris LeSueur, Dylan Mishak, Eli Mayberry, Joshua Maslanich, Larry Iagulli, Ryan McWilliams, and Wesley Yazell. Men's bowling had the most Scholar-Athletes in the NAIA.
Representing men's basketball are Austin Johnson, Braxton Stanley, Ethan Colegrove, Keian Worrix, Keynan Cutlip, and Noel Kintz.
Alexis Moore, Allie Stone, Jaidy Mejia-Andrade, Katie Collopy, Paige Ayler, Rachel Bush, and Willa Davis from women's basketball were honored.
UPIKE competitive cheer's Scholar-Athletes are Chloe Adkins, Kaiden Hess, Kayce Campbell, Kyla Worrix, Lauren Mann, Savannah Wright, and Tianna Elia.
Sophomores Chase Price and Tagge Fry earned Scholar-Athlete honors for the UPIKE wrestling team.
Representing the men's swimming and diving team is sophomore Jacob Rubado. Madelyn Smith was honored for the women's swimming and diving team.
