Bowling Green, Ky. – Following an impressive finish to the spring season which saw the Bears win an MSC Championship followed by a cross-conference invitational; UPIKE esports landed an impressive nine All Mid-South Conference selections. The awards were announced on Monday afternoon and saw the Bears have four League of Legends competitors and five Overwatch competitors earn all-conference distinctions.
Nicholas Letherbarrow (Hallal), one of the Bears leading League of Legends performers, was one of five players selected as First Team All-MSC in the game. Letherbarrow was the only recipient outside of powerhouse Shawnee State.
Lucas Bouey (GreyFawx), who played a key role in the Bears defeat over Shawnee State in the conference championship was named Second Team All-MSC alongside
Jacob Bowling (Tyloxx), and
Jacob Yoh (Circus). Yoh dealt the final blow in game two of the conference championship.
For Overwatch, the Bears landed five second-team All-MSC selections following their first season of competition. Overwatch had a successful fall campaign, finishing runner-up to Shawnee State in the MSC Tournament.
Jacob Bowling was the only student-athlete to earn All-MSC distinctions in multiple disciplines, claiming second-team in Overwatch as well.
