BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The University of Pikeville men's golf team played in the AAC Fall Championship this week, finishing sixth in a field of 15 teams.

Playing the Par 71, 6,658-yard Windermere Club, UPike was fifth among AAC teams in the field. They finished with a three-round total of 59-over par.

Truett-McConnell won the team title, shooting 13-over par. Point was second at 30-over.

Sophomore
Lawson Hon had the best finish for the Bears, as his 12-over par placed him tied for 14
th. He shot rounds of 71, 79 and 75. Sophomore
Jonathan Bryant was tied for 25
th, shooting 15-over (72, 79, 77).

Graduate student
Blake Maupin was tied for 30
th with a three-round score of 16-over (80, 77, 72). Freshman
Kobe Ingram followed, as his 18 over (76, 78, 77) had him tied for 33
rd. junior
Tyler Ford came in tied for 68
th at 30-over (78, 85, 80).

Playing as an individual, graduate student
Broc Crist carded a 23-over (78, 76, 82) to finish in a tie for 50
th.

The Bears will play in one more tournament to wrap up the fall portion of the schedule when they travel to Cohutta, Ga., to compete in the 2023 Eagle Invite. The event, hosted by AAC member Reinhardt University, is slated for Oct. 30-31.
