WALESKA, Ga. - Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) officials released the 2025 baseball season awards.
UPIKE had one all-conference selection, junior catcher Tanner Gerosa. Gerosa earned second team all-conference honors for his position. Gerosa, a native of Huntington Beach, Calif., made 28 starts behind the plate and had a .977 fielding percentage. At the plate, Gerosa batted .364, drove in 21 RBIs, drew 18 walks, had a .474 on-base percentage, an OPS of .919, and had seven extra-base hits.
The AAC also recognizes student-athletes for their hard work in the classroom with academic all-conference honors. To earn academic all-conference honors, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, senior, fifth-year, or graduate student and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 or above on a 4.0 scale.
The 2025 academic all-conference honorees for UPIKE baseball are Isaac Berry, Noah Brooks, Samuel Brown, Matthew Crum, Zachary Crum, Cole Fowler, Gavin Fraser, Joe Gagnon, Elijah Gayhart, Tanner Gerosa, Garren Gledhill, Austin Gurney, Preston Helle, William Kelley, Camryn Kollar, Shaye McTavish, Connor Moody, Caleb Morrison, Riley Paulino, Bailee Pennington, Cameron Revolt, Marques Richards, Dawson Schultz, Ian Setzer, Caleb Stuck, Max Vandenbroek, Maquire Wakelyn, Tate Walters, and Joey Wright.
Bears baseball will take the field Wednesday against the No. 1 seed Reinhardt Eagles. First pitch for tomorrow's game between the Bears and Eagles is set for 12:00 p.m. at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.
