CORBIN, Ky. – The University of Pikeville's
Chloie Brinton has been named the setter of the week by the AAC.

Brinton is a 5-8 senior from Lindon, Utah. She helped the Bears to a 3-1 weekend in the Vette City Classic in Bowling Green.

It is the sixth time in the last two seasons that Brinton, was the 2025 Newcomer of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection.

Across five matches last week, she recorded 195 assists for an average of 11.47 assists per set. In addition, she had eight kills and two service aces. On defense, she recorded 63 digs and five blocks.

The highlight of the week for her came on Friday, when she set a career high with 59 assists in a match against Keiser (Fla.). Her previous high came last season when she recorded 54 against Brenau (Ga.) on Oct. 9.

She finished just five shy of the school record, which is 64, established in 2024 by Tylie Barton.

In her other four matches for the week, all of which were three-set contests, Brinton had 40, 39, 34 and 23 assists.

Through six matches this season, Brinton leads the league with an average of 10.73 assists per set, which is 2.1 assists more than the next highest total.Â

UPike will return to action on Friday when it plays in the AMF Memorial Tournament at Upland, Ind. The Bears open play in the event against Indiana-Southeast at 11 a.m.
