WALESKA, Ga. – Men's soccer players from around the Appalachian Athletics Conference were honored on Thursday for their success on the playing field as well as in the classroom, and the University of Pikeville had 13 players selected.

Bruno Arenal was named second-team all-conference and 12 of his teammates were picked to the All-Academic Team.

Arenal is a 5-9 freshman midfielder from Suances, Spain. He was one of three players tied for the team lead with four goals, and he added seven assists. That gave him 15 points to lead the team, as well as a role in 11 of the team's 24 goals this season.

He also had 25 shots and 14 shots on goal in his first collegiate campaign.

Additionally, 12 players were honored for their academic performance as members of the All-Academic Team. Student-Athletes must have a minimum of a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be a sophomore or higher.
