PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – University of Pikeville men's golf broke some records in route to a first-place finish in the UPike Fall Invite Tuesday.
Kaeden Anderson stole the show for UPike, finishing tied for first in the individual leaderboard. Anderson set a new school record in round one, shooting a 65 (-6) with three birdies on the front nine and back nine. Anderson also finished strong in round three with four birdies on the back nine to finish -1.
Saul Crist, who finished tied for third with a -2, came up huge for the Bears in round three. Crist birdied on 12, 14, then hit a hole-in-one on hole 17 for eagle which proved to be the difference for the Bears, who won by one stroke. Crist clubbed a career-best -3 in round two, then broke his own record in round three with a -5.
Coming in sixth place was
Jon Bryant. Bryant finished +3 for the tournament, with his best round coming in round two where he shot -5.
Peyton Compton finished tied for thirteenth place and Elijah Shope rounded out the varsity squad with a twentieth-place finish.
As a team, the Bears collectively shot -3 and came in first place out of a ten-team field, one shot ahead of Lincoln Memorial University and thirteen shots ahead of the GCAA's current No. 1 ranked team, the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. The UPike B team came in seventh place, ahead of a pair of AAC squads in Bryan and Union Commonwealth.

Dustyn Reinstetle's squad is a trip to Dickson, Tenn., for the Music City Collegiate hosted by Cumberland University.
